Another free service that will show you the ropes and take you to some great sites to help you get started and stay ahead of the game. Contrary to what the domain name may tell, this site is geared towards independent bands.

StarPolish
A great website with tons of free advice for aspiring musicians written by people who know what they're talking about. The layout is organized and easy to navigate. This site is another prime reason why there is no excuse to not be successful.

BandRadio
If we've learned anything in reading this page, it's to not judge a site by its name. BandRadio.com is no exception to the rule. This site is packed with resources, tips and information for up and coming bands.

BandName
What do bands like Give Up the Ghost and CKy have in common? They both had to give up their names because of crappier bands that had it first! This site claims to be the only way to seal the deal on your band name and be sure this never happens to you. It isn't free, but they also help you out with you promotion as well.

JustForMusicians
A poor musician's guide to free promotion and advertising. Gives you some inside scoops on the industry and how to economically work your way around it and get your songs heard. Very simple, honest, cut and dry.

A very well-organized and visually appealing resource site dedicated to helping out new artists and songwriters.

This website is a must visit! You can download The Essential Indie Guide for free! A great deal of promo help and other resources can be found on this site.

DropHit
A service that offers effective promotional help to new bands and artists. Their services are not free but nothing good is these days. If you are willing to pitch in to cover the rates, this site is well worth checking out.
